Rear Admiral Vennam Srinivas takes over as Flag Officer Submarines

Rear Admiral Vennam Srinivas, NM has assumed the duties of Flag Officer Submarines from Rear Admiral Sanjay Mahindru, NM today, 24 October 16. Rear Adm Srinivas was commissioned on 01 July 87, and has served 25 years in the Submarine Arm. He has commanded two conventional submarines, a destroyer prior assuming command of the nuclear submarine INS Chakra. Whilst serving ashore, the officer commanded the Navy’s submarine training establishment and has been the Principal Director at Naval Headquarters. The JV will provide MRO services for Safran TM333 2B2 and HAL Shakti engines installed on HAL-built helicopters operated by the Defence Services. The Consumer Mela organized by Department of Consumer Affairs yesterday at Central Park, Connaught Place in New Delhi generated enough enthusiasm among the Consumers and more than 2000 visitors thronged the Mela to register their grievances or for counseling. National Consumer Helpline Stall registered more than 200 visitors. State Bank of India reported that 100 visitors to their counter with different queries and suggestions. INS Tihayu Joins the Indian Navy
