The administration of the Copyright Act, 1957 was transferred to Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, subsequent to the amendment in the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961 on 21st March, 2016. The department has amended sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the Copyright Rules, 2013 related to the “terms and conditions of the office of the Chairman and Members of the Copyright Board” vide gazette notification dated 12th August, 2016. The tariff concessions being granted to Asia Pacific Trade Agreement (APTA) member States, on Margin of Preference basis, under the fourth round of exchange of tariff concessions, includes certain tariff lines relating to railway locomotives, nuclear plants, fissile material and aircraft. The government has established Indian Bridge Management System (IBMS) for inventorization and condition survey of all bridges on National Highways. Under Setu Bhartam Scheme, improvement of approximately 1500 bridges have been planned for construction, reconstruction or strengthening, as required. The Government has approved monetization of public funded, operational National Highway (NH) projects that are generating toll revenue for at least two years after start of operations through the Toll Operate Transfer (ToT) Model.
